The Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA) basketball nipped the visiting Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA), 54-51 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Clarinda (Clarinda, IA). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Clarinda was tipped by St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA), 64-43, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Albia for a South Central test on Tuesday, December 6. Chariton will encounter a Blue Demons squad coming off a 55-36 league win over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 2-1.
