Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME), 63-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cony upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Nokomis (Newport, ME) to play the Warriors in a A North bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the River Hawks play the Lawrence Bulldogs (Fairfield, ME) in a A North bout, on Thursday, January 12. Skowhegan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 72-34 league win over Messalonskee (Oakland, ME).
