The Dalton Bulldogs basketball team (Dalton, OH), was nudged 38-35 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH)
The Smithies now sport a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillsdale for a Wayne County battle on Thursday, January 12. Smithville will battle a Falcons team coming off a 60-12 league loss to Chippewa (Doylestown, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 3-8.
The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Rittman (Rittman, OH). The Indians come into the Wayne County battle with a 3-9 record. In their last battle, Rittman was nudged by Garaway (Sugarcreek, OH), 59-24, in a non-league battle.
