Texas High School Basketball - Dawson topped by Loop

The Loop Longhorns basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Dawson Dragons to 22 in the Longhorns league victory on Tuesday.
The Longhorns now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grady for a 1A Region I District 8 contest on Friday, January 13. Loop will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-35 league loss to Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-6.
The Dragons (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region I District 8 contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Wellman-Union dropped by Sands (Ackerly, TX), 79-28, in a league contest.
