The Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars basketball team (Louisville, GA), was overwhelmed 66-43 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA)
The Gators now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Briarwood Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. Gatewood will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 50-49 non-league loss to Brentwood (Sandersville, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 12-2.
The Jaguars (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against David Emanuel Academy (Stillmore, GA). The Eagles come into the GIAA A Region 4 battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, David Emanuel Academy was overwhelmed by Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA), 64-24, in a non-league battle.
