In Thursday's non-league outing, the Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA), by a count of 75-24.

The Gators (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, Edmund Burke Academy was crushed by Robert Toombs Christian Academy (Lyons, GA), 35-30, in a non-league outing.

The Jaguars now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to John Hancock Academy for a GIAA A Region 4 outing on Friday, January 6.
