The Mary Star of the Sea Stars basketball team (San Pedro, CA), was toppled 56-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting St. Mary's Academy Belles (Inglewood, CA)
The Belles now possess a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Genevieve for a Camino Real battle on Thursday, January 12. St. Mary's Academy will confront a Valiants team coming off a 45-35 non-league win over Sacred Heart of Jesus (Los Angeles, CA). The Valiants record now stands at 1-10.
The Stars (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA). The Lancers come into the Camino Real battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Bishop Amat was toppled by Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA), 56-53, in a league battle.
