St. Mary's Academy Belles (Inglewood, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA), 57-12 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Mary's Academy upgrades its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Belles travel to Valencia (Valencia, CA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 16-8. Valencia won 53-21 in their recent league bout against Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA)

Next up, the Stars play the Bishop Amat Lancers (La Puente, CA) in a Camino Real bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Mary Star of the Sea will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record.
