With the win, Villa Maria Academy upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Gwynedd Valley, PA) to clash with the Monarchs in a Catholic Academies bout on Thursday, January 12. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 12-0. Gwynedd Mercy Academy won 49-34 in their recent league bout against Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA)

Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Nazareth Academy (Philadelphia, PA) in a Catholic Academies bout, on Thursday, January 12. Merion Mercy Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 34-27 league win over Villa Joseph Marie (Holland, PA).
