Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT), 38-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Thomaston upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Bears host Windsor Locks (Windsor Locks, CT) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Windsor Locks won 41-37 in their recent league bout against Stafford (Stafford Springs, CT)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Nonnewaug will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 41-23 non-league win over Terryville (Terryville, CT).
