Texas High School Basketball - Rivera knocked off by San Benito

The San Benito Greyhounds basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Rivera Raiders to 35 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Tuesday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harlingen for a 6A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 13. San Benito will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 85-32 league win over Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-10.

The Raiders (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Panthers enter the 6A Region IV District 32 contest with a 22-6 record. In their last contest, Weslaco ran past Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX), 54-42, in a league contest.
