The Rivera Raiders topped the visiting San Benito Greyhounds basketball team by a final score of 30-21 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Raiders face the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 32 game, on Tuesday, January 31. Rivera will attempt to move on its 14-13 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 26-8 record after their 38-36 league loss to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX).
With the defeat, San Benito moves to 22-11 on the year. The Greyhounds host Harlingen (Harlingen, TX) to face the Cardinals in a 6A Region IV District 32 game on Tuesday, January 31. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 19-10. Harlingen won 82-26 in their recent league game against Hanna (Brownsville, TX)
