East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 43-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Surry upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to clash with the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 5-7. West Wilkes won 36-32 in their recent non-league bout against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Forbush will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 30-19 league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
