In Friday's non-league outing, the Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), by a margin of 44-43.

The Falcons (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 12-3 record.

The Cardinals now hold a 11-2 record. They play next when they host West Wilkes for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. East Surry will play a Blackhawks squad coming off a 32-22 non-league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 7-11.
