Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 48-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Galax upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Maroon Tide travel to Graham (Bluefield, VA) to clash with the G-Men in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The G-Men go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Graham won 54-10 in their recent non-league bout against Richlands (Richlands, VA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Giles will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Green Waves go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 56-26 non-league win over Craig County (New Castle, VA).
