The Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY), 41-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Crusaders (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY). The Goldbacks go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Newburgh Free Academy got by Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY), 69-55, in a non-league test.

The Wizards now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Bush for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Washingtonville will encounter a Bushmen squad coming off a 76-48 non-league win over Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Bushmen record now stands at 7-2.
