The Hawthorne Cougars basketball team (Hawthorne, CA), was overwhelmed 80-50 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Centennial Apaches (Compton, CA)

The Apaches now possess a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morningside for a Ocean battle on Friday, January 12. Centennial will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 77-14 league loss to Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-10.

The Cougars (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Inglewood (Inglewood, CA). The Sentinels come into the Ocean battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Inglewood was overwhelmed by Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA), 54-43, in a league battle.
