Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 50-40 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Providence Day improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Chargers host Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC) to play the Knights in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent challenge on Friday, January 12. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Charlotte Christian lost 63-60 in their recent league challenge against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Hawks play the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent challenge, on Friday, January 12. Charlotte Latin will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 73-63 league loss to Cannon (Concord, NC).
