The Independence Patriots tipped the host East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team by a final score of 44-39 in Wednesday's league game.
In their next game, the Patriots face the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a 4A Southwestern game, on Friday, January 12. Independence will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Ravens enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 63-57 league win over Providence (Charlotte, NC).
