The Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC), 56-50 in Wednesday's league test.
The Bulldogs (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Saluda (Saluda, SC). The Tigers go into the AA Region 2 test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Saluda was tipped by Abbeville (Abbeville, SC), 60-53, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mid-Carolina for a AA Region 2 test on Friday, January 12. Ninety Six will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 62-44 non-league win over Emerald (Greenwood, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 5-9.
