Friends' Central (Wynnewood, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA), 58-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Friends' Central upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The host George School (Newtown, PA) to play the Cougars in a Friends Schools bout on Friday, January 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-4. George School lost 68-62 in their recent non-league bout against Audenried (Philadelphia, PA)

Next up, the Lions play the Sankofa Freedom Academy Warriors (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Academy of the New Church will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 37-34 league loss to Philadelphia Academy Charter (Philadelphia, PA).
