Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cleveland Heights Tigers (Cleveland Heights, OH), 53-39 in a league bout.
With the win, Mentor upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Shaker Heights (Shaker Heights, OH) to play the Red Raiders in a Greater Cleveland bout on Saturday, January 13. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Shaker Heights lost 47-27 in their recent league bout against Euclid (Euclid, OH)
Next up, the Tigers play the Richmond Heights Spartans (Richmond Heights, OH) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 14. Cleveland Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Mansfield Senior (Mansfield, OH).
