William Floyd Colonials (Mastic Beach, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Patchogue-Medford Raiders (Medford, NY), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the win, William Floyd upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Colonials host Brentwood (Brentwood, NY) to play the Indians in a Section 11 AAA-1 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Brentwood lost 55-26 in their recent league bout against Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY)

Next up, the Raiders play the Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY) in a Section 11 AAA-1 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Patchogue-Medford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
