The Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 78-37 in Wednesday's league test.
The Vikings (8-0) will now prepare for their test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, New Hanover walloped North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 44-37, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host South Brunswick for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 17. Topsail will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 72-17 non-league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-7.
