North Carolina High School Basketball - Topsail knocked off by Hoggard

The Hoggard Vikings basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Topsail Pirates to 42 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashley for a contest on Friday, February 9. Hoggard will meet a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 33-30 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 5-10.
The Pirates (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, South Brunswick was defeated by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 82-22, in a non-league contest.
