The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) and the visiting Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ), observed Donovan Catholic's basketball team knock off Southern Regional by a score of 63-54.

The Griffins (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Manchester Township dropped by Central Regional (Bayville, NJ), 66-58, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams encounter the Toms River North Mariners (Toms River, NJ) in a Shore A - South challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Southern Regional will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record.
