The George C. Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Washington-Liberty Generals to 29 in the Statesmen league triumph on Friday.

The Statesmen now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Langley for a District 2 game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Washington-Liberty falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Generals host McLean (McLean, VA) to confront the Highlanders in a District 2 game on Monday, January 13. The Highlanders go into the game with a record of 6-6. McLean lost 55-51 in their recent league game against Wakefield (Arlington, VA)
