The George C. Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals to 35 in the Statesmen league triumph on Tuesday.

The Statesmen now have a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Herndon for a District 2 game on Friday, February 7. George C. Marshall will confront a Hornets team coming off a 63-47 non-league win over Park View (Sterling, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Washington-Liberty falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Wakefield (Arlington, VA) to confront the Warriors in a District 2 game on Friday, February 7. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 9-8. Wakefield lost 53-36 in their recent league game against McLean (McLean, VA)
