The Wildcats now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Veribest for a 1A Region II District 11 game on Tuesday, January 14. Water Valley will play a Falcons team coming off a 68-44 league loss to Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Irion County falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Blackwell (Blackwell, TX) to play the Hornets in a 1A Region II District 11 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 0-6. Blackwell lost 52-31 in their recent league game against Bronte (Bronte, TX)
