In Friday's league contest, the visiting Kimball Cubs basketball team scored a good 66-46 triumph over the Royalton Royals.

The Cubs (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Foley (Foley, MN). The Falcons go into the AA Section 6 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Foley topped Milaca (Milaca, MN), 62-48, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Royals confront the Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Royalton will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 6-6 record after their 74-69 non-league loss to Kimball (Kimball, MN).
