The Lakeville North Panthers basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Lakeville South Cougars to 62 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now have a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Eastview for a non-league game on Sunday, January 12. Lakeville North will confront a Lightning team coming off a 74-65 non-league loss to Waconia (Waconia, MN). The Lightning record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Lakeville South falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Shakopee (Shakopee, MN) to confront the Sabers in a non-league game on Sunday, January 12. The Sabers go into the game with a record of 7-4. Shakopee won 88-66 in their recent non-league game against Rosemount (Rosemount, MN)
