In Friday's league contest, the visiting Lakeville South Cougars basketball team scored a close 78-75 triumph over the Lakeville North Panthers.

The Cougars (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Shakopee (Shakopee, MN). The Sabers go into the non-league contest with a 9-6 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Eastview Lightning (Apple Valley, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Lakeville North will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Lightning go into the contest with a 4-13 record after their 73-56 league loss to Eagan (Eagan, MN).
