Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL), 52-20 in a league match.
With the victory, Waubonsie Valley advances its record to 16-0 on the year. The Warriors travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to meet the Cyclones in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Cyclones enter the match with a record of 10-6. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 1-0 in their recent league match against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL)
The Redhawks now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lockport for a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. Naperville Central will meet a Porters squad coming off a 59-24 league win over Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Porters record now stands at 9-7.
