Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA), 76-38 in a league match.

With the victory, Union Area advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Scotties travel to Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to face the Lancers in a WPIAL 2A 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 11-1. Neshannock won 55-46 in their recent non-league match against Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA)

The Rams now own a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for a WPIAL 2A 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. South Side will face a Chargers squad coming off a 55-24 non-league win over Rochester (Rochester, PA). The Chargers record now stands at 7-3.
