New Hampshire High School Basketball - Newport overwhelms Monadnock

The Newport Tigers basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Monadnock Huskies to 36 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now possess a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Sunapee for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Newport will confront a Lakers team coming off a 50-21 league loss to Newmarket (Newmarket, NH). The Lakers record now stands at 0-6.
With the loss, Monadnock falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Huskies host Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH) to confront the Wildcats in a Division III game on Tuesday, January 14. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 6-0. Fall Mountain won 41-24 in their recent league game against Stevens (Claremont, NH)
