In Friday's league contest, the visiting Spanish Springs Cougars basketball team scored a good 34-17 triumph over the McQueen Lancers.

The Cougars (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders go into the contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Reed was topped by Galena (Reno, NV), 65-33, in a league contest.

Next up, the Lancers meet the Reno Huskies (Reno, NV) in a battle, on Monday, January 13. McQueen will attempt to advance on its 6-10 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 42-39 non-league loss to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV).
