The The Heights basketball team (Potomac, MD), was overwhelmed 75-53 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA)
The Cardinals now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel for a Washington Catholic battle on Friday, January 14. Bishop Ireton will battle a Falcons team coming off a 59-57 league win over St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 5-4.
The (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The Eagles come into the Washington Catholic battle with a 9-0 record. In their last battle, Gonzaga trounced DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), 87-73, in a league battle.
