Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL), 61-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calhoun upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Warriors travel to Liberty (Liberty, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Liberty won 49-34 in their recent non-league bout against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 17. North Greene will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 53-45 non-league win over Barry Western (Barry, IL).
