Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA), 54-51 in a league bout.
With the win, Loyalsock Township upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Lancers travel to Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA) to play the RED TORNADOES in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The RED TORNADOES go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Mount Carmel won 47-45 in their recent league bout against Warrior Run (Turbotville, PA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Bloomsburg Panthers (Bloomsburg, PA) in a Heartland III bout, on Saturday, January 14. Hughesville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 64-50 non-league loss to Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA).
