In Wednesday's league outing, the Central Aroostook Panthers (Mars Hill, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME), by a margin of 41-8.
The Panthers (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Houlton (Houlton, ME). The Shiretowners go into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Houlton was trounced by Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME), 46-40, in a league outing.
The Owls now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host East Grand for a non-league outing on Friday, January 13. Madawaska will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 41-37 league loss to Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 4-4.
