In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles (Shelby, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC), by a count of 52-44.
The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against The Master's Academy (Forest City, NC). The Lions go into the Western Piedmont outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, The Master's Academy defeated Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC), 49-18, in a league outing.
The Ironmen now hold a 2-13 record. They play next when they host East Gaston for a 1A/2A Conference 40 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Cherryville will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 42-37 league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 2-12.
