In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Cherryville Ironmen basketball team scored a good 48-28 triumph over the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles.
In their next game, the Ironmen meet the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 40 match, on Friday, January 20. Cherryville will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Gryphons enter the match with a 10-5 record after their 50-29 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).
With the defeat, Pinnacle Classical Academy moves to 6-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC) to meet the Raptors in a Western Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 24. The Raptors enter the match with a record of 0-8.
