The Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) basketball nipped the visiting El Dorado Cougars (Placerville, CA), 25-22 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hillmen (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Del Oro (Loomis, CA). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 17-3 record. In their last test, Del Oro got by Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA), 38-31, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host St. Francis for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. El Dorado will encounter a Troubadours squad coming off a 37-35 non-league win over Folsom (Folsom, CA). The Troubadours record now stands at 11-4.
