Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the El Dorado Cougars (Placerville, CA) and the host Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), saw El Dorado's basketball squad knock off Placer by a count of 32-18.

With the victory, El Dorado upgrades its record to 5-16 on the campaign. The Cougars host Del Oro (Loomis, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 21-4. Del Oro won 41-22 in their recent league challenge against Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA)

Next up, the Hillmen play the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Placer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 58-13 league win over West Park (Roseville, CA).
