Matthews Christian Academy Colts (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Abundant Life Christian Academy KNIGHTS (Indian Trail, NC), 54-9 in a league bout.

With the victory, Matthews Christian Academy upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Calvary Christian (King, NC) to play the Cougar in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Cougar come into the bout with a record of 13-8. Calvary Christian won 65-16 in their recent league bout against Sheets Memorial Christian (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the KNIGHTS play the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders (Statesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Abundant Life Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
