Pickford Panthers (Pickford, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Brimley Bays (Brimley, MI), 77-68 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pickford upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host North Michigan Christian Academy (Burt Lake, MI) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Bays play the Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Brimley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
