The Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) basketball nipped the visiting Grafton Spoilers (Grafton, ND), 68-66 in Thursday's league test.
The Firebirds (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Thompson (Thompson, ND). The Tommies go into the A Region 2 test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Thompson got by Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND), 81-71, in a league test.
The Spoilers now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Thief River Falls for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Grafton will encounter a Prowlers squad coming off a 79-63 non-league win over Bagley (Bagley, MN). The Prowlers record now stands at 2-6.
