The Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) basketball knocked off the host Orono Riots (Orono, ME), 62-49 in Thursday's league test.

The Eagles (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Coyotes go into the B North test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Old Town notched a victory over Hermon (Hermon, ME), 43-40, in a league test.

The Riots now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Houlton for a B North test on Monday, January 15. Orono will encounter a Shiretowners squad coming off a 72-51 league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Shiretowners record now stands at 2-9.
