Spectrum Sting (Elk River, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Lutheran Warriors (Plymouth, MN), 75-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spectrum upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Sting travel to Rush City (Rush City, MN) to play the Tigers in a AA Section 6 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Rush City won 65-46 in their recent non-league bout against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] (Isle, MN)

Next up, the Warriors play the Hope Academy (Minneapolis, MN) in a A Section 4 bout, on Saturday, January 13. West Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 65-54 non-league loss to Avail Academy (Minneapolis, MN).
