In Thursday's non-league outing, the Centennial Bulldogs (Las Vegas, NV) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV), by a margin of 53-25.
The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Durango (Las Vegas, NV). The Trailblazers go into the outing with a 2-4 record.
The Spartans now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Cheyenne for a non-league outing on Monday, January 15.
First Quarter
The Spartans were outscored 19 to 6 in the opening quarter & missed many open shots, while allowing Centennial to get out on the fast break where they scored multiple open layups in transition.
Second Quarter
In the 2nd Quarter the Spartans played excellent defense & held the Bull Dogs to just 7 points.
Third Quarter
The 2nd half was a struggle for the Spartans offensively. They couldn't see to make a shot. It was as if there was a lid on the basket. The got so many great looks at the hoop, but their shots would not fall.
